you go, I go, Logo.

It's been a damn while. I blame getting a job and November was not a fun month. It seems that being on the dole was more cost effective at the time. Adam Campbell is lovely man. Enough said. Well there is one more thing, the man does have some crazy ass illustration skills. He also owns a blog which can be viewed at Plug over.

I missed the book fair which was pretty sad times. I am still working on the book which is now under the working title of "Trauma". I'm taking my sweet time with it as I want it to be pretty amazing and I am also going to be teaching art classes for a charity. Busy busy busy.

I have decided to do something that all illustrators should steer clear of and that is graphic design. My friends band needed some type of logo so I smashed this out over the last two days. This is the first draft so expect some changes. As first attempts go I would say I'm pretty happy with this one.

El Gebo, say it 5 times into a mirror and he'll show up. At least I hope he will.

Things in El Gebo land are taking shape. (If you are unaware I am in a collective type thing with some people from the uca days, check out We have a table at handmade and bound book fair in London town in November. Check it out.

We are each making a book about what the hell El Gebo actually is because we really have no idea. I'm not going to give away too much yet but here is a tiny amount to go on. I am also hoping to produce a small book with the many years of scribbles from journeys I have been on. More on that later.

As well as this I am hoping to be coming up with some sexy designs for T-shirts for a shop in Brighton, it's open to all illustrators so if you want in I can hook you up with the info. Over and out.

Life Drawing

Life drawing is actually the best thing.
I remember watching some saachi programme on BBC, in which some silly person said that life drawing was cliche, she was obviously awful at it, though I would not say that I am any good. It is fun to just play around with media and make marks you would never do in your own work, even if it comes out looking horrible. Here are some attempts of what I did Wednesday.

Card design and Travel Scribbles.

Two updates, in one week. Wow.
Our class is having a bit of a card sale at uni next week, here's my offering. I have more designs and ideas in my brain, and hopefully they'll get put on paper tonight.
Here are some random doodles from my diary/sketchbook that I have been trying to keep going.

six past three. (i'm the worst at blogging)

Dissertation and final minor project are handed in! I guess I could have written these words weeks ago, but party times were needed, and they were damn good. My project came together rather well, and I am in planning stages for my last project at uni, sad times. I think I have a pretty interesting idea.

Anyway, here some of the images that were apart of my final piece for the major project. It was a massive time line, but due to my camera deciding to take swimming lessons in ink, it's become a bit difficult to use, so i can not show that. The idea of the time line was to show the viewpoints of 5 different people during the hillsborough disaster. The images are quite ambiguous to force the viewer to decode what they are looking at.

Enjoy! I am doing some card designs which I will post up later, buy them!
